Managing Effectiveness (II)

  - 3 hours credit

 

 

Introduction

This course is designed for students who strive to improve the effectiveness of his/her own and the people working around them. The course introduces the differences between efficiency and effectiveness, importance of setting objectives, controlling and the essential management skills. With the continuous changes in roles of staffs in the commercial/technical world, improving one’s effectiveness becomes a key factor for success of individuals and organizations.

 

This course is suitable for both managers and non-managers.

 

Pre-requisite: Managing Effectiveness (I)  

 

At the end of the program, students will be able to:

  • Apply the objectives prioritizing tool (SWOT) using real life scenarios

  • Continue to learn a few more tools to improve effectiveness

  • Manage their time effectively

  • Be a good leader

  • Organize and lead a team to be effective
